B-cushionについて
B-cushionについて さまざまな連想を喚起する温かい血の内包されたような形態、まるで自分の分身のような自作の布のオブジェである “B-cushion”を 結んだり、ねじったりして出来る立体の柔かい強さを平面に置き換え表現するために、ネパール産のロクタという植物繊維を原料と した分厚い紙を支持体として、敢えて走査線を粗く露呈することによって、横縞状の不思議なイリュージョンで覆われていく作品で す。
紙の持つ独特の味わいと風合いに助けられランダムな耳を見せる展示を心掛けながら。この”B-cushion”は昔「結ぶクッション」 として発表したものですが、形が無限に変化するので、今後も色々な形状を追求し、曖昧模糊で温もりのある作品を創り続けたい。 変幻自在に挑発し、五感を刺激するように、ひっそりと生息して。
長はるこ About “B-cushion” The forms known as“B-cushions”which may evoke images of something with warm blood coursing through it, are objects I strongly associate with myself as I tie,twist,and occasionally join them together.To express the strong but supple elements of the 3-dimensional object on a 2-dimensional plane, I work with the medium of lokta paper, a thick-fibred, handcrafted Nepalese paper. In the printing process, rough horizontal lines are used as an enhancement and produce a mysterious atmosphere to the work. The edges of the paper are left uncut to further express their texture and their uniqueness and can be more fully appreciated. The cloth object” B-cushion” used to be one of my works called “Tied cushion”.It is possible to produce different shapes by tying and twisting them.I’d like to pursue new shapes and try to produce ambiguous yet warm and profound works of art, ever in a state of transformation to stimulate your five senses.
